As most of you know, the author of this journal entry, a famed immortal with too much time on his hands is a hard-core no-life author for countless books. Most of which he's forgotten the plots of. But, coming very soon (Not Blizzard soon, but sooner than that.) He will be releasing the first book of an unpublished series (Series unnamed for the moment.) The three confirmed (fourth one still in the air for including in the series or starting another) books are called, The Sifter, The Seether, and The Shaper. The first book, The Sifter, is nearing its editorial period and on its way to publication (self, to be exact.).

SO, my point is. I'm just an author. And when you sell books, you have a book cover... which usually involves art, unless its one of those boring self-help books with gradient colors and texts. This is not one of those books. This is a well thought (perhaps too much) fantasy novel taking place on an entirely new world full of magic and unicorns and... not really, but it's pretty epic and I need an artist(s) to help me compile an eye-catching book cover. Why? Because people DO judge books by their covers. We're a visually driven society. And while I put more thought into my book than more important things in my life, I do need a convincing cover to make consumers go "Oooo what's this?! THIS LOOKS EPIC! MUST HAVE!" Something along those lines.

So here's my proposition. A contest. With a prize. Yes... you guys might like prizes. While the best prize is a surprise, I am willing to pay the winner (and runner ups) for their hard work. The book will be first published for Kindle, and then hard cover copies will then be made (and soft-covers for all you... soft-cover lovers. Aka weirdos.)  


So, the Sifter. You are more than welcome to read the novel on a link that I can forward to you, and you can come up with the ideas yourself. Or you could ask me for specific details and I will be more than happy to share them with you. I am an author that likes to get involved with the community. I will not be whipping you in the back barking orders, unless you're into that kind of thing. So, for whatever information you need, I will provide.

For the Sifter itself, here is a synopsis:

A notorious smuggler washes ashore and sets foot on land for the first time. In a quest to learn more about the world she was absent from, she's sucked into an age old war and embarks to find a famed god-killer in order to turn the tides of war.


Prizes? I haven't really established that yet.

1st Place: $100, plus their artwork featured in a published novel.
